The Buffalo Bills held off a last-minute Hail Mary touchdown by Aaron Rodgers to defeat the New York Jets 23-20 in a penalty-filled game on Monday night in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Bills kicker Tyler Bass secured the win with a 22-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter, followed by cornerback Taron Johnson’s game-clinching interception of Rodgers.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen delivered an impressive performance, completing 19 of 25 passes for 215 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for a score in the first quarter. With the win, Buffalo snapped a two-game losing streak and improved to 4-2.

The Jets, playing their first game after head coach Robert Saleh’s firing, initially led 10-7 in the first quarter, but Allen’s back-to-back touchdown passes to Mack Hollins and Dawson Knox turned the tide. However, Aaron Rodgers pulled off a 52-yard Hail Mary touchdown pass to Allen Lazard just before halftime, marking Rodgers' fourth career Hail Mary, the most in NFL history since 1970.

Despite the heroic first-half effort, the Jets couldn’t find momentum in the second half, hindered by two missed field goals from kicker Greg Zuerlein. The loss dropped the Jets to 2-4, while the Bills solidified their spot atop the AFC East.
